•Sea therapy• Well, we’re twenty-five days into this new way of life and one thing I’ve found that lifts my spirits & brings me joy is standing in front of the shoreline and breathing in a little salty air. •pause, breathe• These days I need my inked reminder a lot. My husband scooped up the kids for a joy ride on this very blustery & rainy day so that I could have a quiet house to do yoga. He’s so good to me. •password robot• Passwords are my nemesis. Nothing drives me more bonkers than trying to keep up with all the passwords. (ps...password organizer app recommendations welcome). •art imitates life• She got a fresh batch of sidewalk chalk for her birthday and she has filled in every single inch of the patio and back stoop with her creations. This last one she said was two people holding hands with a BIG X over it. •F O U R• Presenting, my royal four year old! She spent her day dressing up and celebrating! We wrapped the day up by having a beautiful chorus of friends & family singing to her through distances near and far thanks to Zoom. 🎉 🎂 #happybirthday #zoombirthday #zoombirthdayparty #fouryearsold #mygirl

•almost• My girl’s ready to roll into four like a boss. She’s been counting down the days all week, telling everyone she talks to (mostly from a 6 foot distance) that she is soon FOUR! So exciting that tomorrow is the big day. She’s got nearly 50 people lined up to sing HBD to her tomorrow on Zoom. •Multitasking• These weeks have shown us parents just how many things we can do at once. Work call and being the royal king for your daughter’s imaginative play. No problem. 🤴🏻 📞 #multitasking #parenting #parentingduringcovid19 #parentingduringapandemic #3yearold #imaginativeplay

•A B C• My almost 4 year old has been watching her big brothers take so many @outschool classes and she kept asking when she could take a class. So I went looking for something simple she could enjoy and found this sweet class on the ABCs focusing on phonemic awareness. She was in heaven and so into it. •simple pleasures• I am new to the world of air plants. I picked up a few small ones a few months ago and wasn’t quite sure if I was doing a good job keeping them alive but then this morning I went to water one and was shocked to discover a purple bloom. •Let’s go fly a kite• Sunny, yet cold, afternoon at the beach with a perfect wind for flying a kite. We did meet friends <gasp> but everyone adhered to a 6 foot distance and parents said things like, “No, we’re not sharing today.” ☀️ 🌊 It was weird and wonderful to see other humans outside our immediate family, but new way to be together for sure. #socialdistancing #letsgoflyakite #kitesatthebeach

•Silver lining• So a lot of the adjustments to this new way of life have been hard and we’re still trying to figure out what works best for our family. But one thing that has been an absolute dream come true for this mama is the opportunity to practice with my most favorite yoga teachers from the comfort of my own home. No babysitters to pay (aside the monthly Disney+ membership to entertain my kids while I practice) and the time I save! It’s been amazing.
