•Makers Gonna Make• My oldest has been asking to learn how to play Pokémon cards and I said if he saved his money he could buy a deck and play. We researched a starter deck, priced it out and then he set a goal for how much money he needed to earn.🤑 ✨ After a few days, he was getting antsy as it was taking longer to earn the money and he wanted to play now. So, he spent the morning making his own cards and game board then taught his brother how to play his version. 🙌 ✨ #makersgonnamake #homemade #homeschool #selfdirectedlearning #unschooling #homemadegames #pokemon

•Snow Fun• Finally. All winter we have had these snow storms that finish with slushy rain leaving it less than desirable to get out and play in. •snow day• Good morning snow! I love snow days on a vacation day when we can just admire it from the window and not do the hustle of suiting up, shoveling out and sliding around to get to where we need to go. ❄️ ✨ Instead I can make another cuppa tea, snuggle in and enjoy. ☕️ ✨ Though, let’s be honest, 3 kids will only chill for so long so we will suit up and head out to play in it at some point today. ⛄️ ✨ #snowday #yaysnow #cozy #hygge #cuppatea #snuggle #whataview #vacationday #window #outmywindow

•poop doula• 💩 That’s right. These last few weeks I’ve added poop doula to my lists of jobs. My daughter has been potty training since Christmas and she’s doing great except for when it’s time to poop. She screams: “Mama! Hold my hand! It’s coming!!” And then I take her hand, rub her back while she breathes heavy and labors for a moment before she gives up, pops up off the potty and says “Maybe later.” Over and over a million times a day. 🤦🏻‍♀️ ✨ I hear myself saying things like: “You can do this, let it go.” Or “Your body was made to do this.” Seriously. It’s pretty ridiculous. 😂 ✨ Any other mamas ever found themselves in a poop doula role? How do we move past this?!? My boys never had this problem. I actually think it’s fear and not constipation. •Sunset• That sunset at FOUR THIRTY was on fire this afternoon.
